Japanese sushi brings me so much joy, and Little Emi absolutely loves these sushi friends too! I hope this series brings a little warm and delightful sunshine into your day.

Here is a story about Tuna Sushi and Little Emi:
Little Emi has a twin sister, and it’s none other than Tuna Sushi!
Wait… a twin sushi sister? But Emi isn’t a piece of sushi!
Haha, truth be told, they aren’t actually real twins. They come from entirely different families, but because they are so remarkably like-minded, they love to playfully call themselves twin sisters. They both adore the colour red, beautiful rainbows, and the twinkling starlight at night. They both love to dance, and above all, they love to laugh!
Ever since they declared themselves sisters, Emi and Tuna Sushi have loved doing everything together. Today, they went picking fresh raspberries side by side, which Emi’s mother will use to make homemade jam—their absolute favourite treat! At noon, they sat by the river chatting with a little fish, taking turns making up wild and magical stories together.
Tuna Sushi widened her eyes with excitement and said, “Last August, a giant flying fish appeared in the sky!”
Emi, picking up the story with enthusiasm, continued, “Because it was so scorching hot back then, the big flying fish flew right over this river, wanting to drink its crystal-clear water!”
The little fish had a mischievous smile on his face as he chimed in, “And I bravely leaped out of the water to stop him!”
Emi and Tuna Sushi gasped in surprise, asking in unison, “Why?”
“Because he was so huge! I was afraid he would drink the whole river dry,” the little fish explained proudly. “So, I jumped onto his back and guided him toward the big ocean. After that, I went on adventures all over the world with him!”
