去年，我為聖誕節畫了一系列三幅的胡桃夾子電子畫。今年，我決定用畫塑膠彩畫聖誕花。
為何畫聖誕花呢？我也不知道。
這節日讓我想起的，是香港的聖誕燈飾，和小學時期的聖誕聯歡會。至於聖誕花……，我想起的是媽媽。其實也沒甚麼特別，我只是曾經和媽媽分享過想買聖誕花，後來真的買了，再後來，我將聖誕花交給了她繼續愛護。這都只是生活中的點滴而已，但卻是已藏心中的回憶，使我對聖誕花多添了一份溫暖的情感。
我應該是在十月時開始繪畫聖誕花的，那時還以為時間多得很。誰知，我現在卻感到時間緊逼。
底色畫了兩至三層，淺粉紅色的聖誕花草稿兩層，之後塗上兩層紅色，現在的階段是營造藝術放果，也就是在聖誕花上不停地點點點點點。點完一層，再點第二層，第三層是深淺色的明確度，再後是加上藍色的葉脈和陰影位置，然後再加工，使她更美麗一點。
這一切「工序」，所需的都是時間、時間和時間。
但我希望能傾注進去的，是藝術感和情感。
我也希望，這幅畫完成之後，可以觸動人心。
聖誕花於我們各人而言，有沒有特別的意義？也許有，也許沒有。但她應該就是會讓我們想起聖誕和冬季的快樂。我想，她們本身的美麗，也會為我們的生活添上一份愉悅吧？
I drew a series of three digital drawings of nutcrackers for Christmas last year. Now, I’m painting Christmas flowers with acrylic on canvas.
Why draw Christmas flowers? I don’t know, not for a special reason.
To me, Christmas reminds me of the Christmas lights in Hong Kong and the Christmas parties, my happy memories, in primary school. As for the Christmas flower, I think of my mother.
Actually, it’s nothing special. I just shared with my mother that I wanted to buy Christmas flowers, and then I bought them. But at last, I handed over the Christmas flowers to her to continue to love them. These are just small pieces of life, but they are memories that have been cherished in my heart, which made Christmas flowers more meaningful to me.
I started painting Christmas flowers in October. I thought I had a lot of time. Who knows, I feel that time may be running out now.
The base colour is painted in two to three layers. And then two layers of light pink for Christmas flower drafts, and two red layers covered them. I’m now creating some artistic effects with my dot painting.
After the whole flower is completed, I should reprocess it to make her more beautiful.
All these “processes” require time, time, and time.
However, what I hope to convey through this painting is the sense of art and the feeling from my soul. I also hope that it can touch people’s hearts.
Do Christmas flowers have any special meaning for each of us? Maybe there is, maybe not. But she should remind us of the joy of Christmas and winter, and their own beauty will also delight our lives, right?
